President's Message
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy, healthy and safe summer.

The Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics was a huge success.  The FOP raised
over $17,200 and the total amount raised was over $80,000!  Good job by all.

At our Scholarship & Membership Meeting in May we were able to bestow 10
Scholarships to children of our members.  This is one more than last year so we
continue to advance in this effort.  Thank you for your donations they are truly helping
our youth.

On May
5th the NYS FOP held its annual Police Memorial Day Ceremony at FOP
Headquarters.  Our Lodge placed a wreath at the monument honoring our fallen
brothers and sisters who made the supreme sacrifice.  The Lodge 25 DWI Corvette led
the procession in front of FOP Headquarters.

June 16th is the date set for the Riverhead Raceway STOP-DWI Night.  Our Corvette
along with over 25 other Law Enforcement Police Cars will be used as Pace Cars for all
the races along with a Memorial Ceremony.  If you like racing, then Riverhead Raceway
is the place to be.  Hope to see you there.

Our Picnic Committee will try to outdo themselves again this year at the 4th Annual
Picnic scheduled for July 29th at Valley Stream State Park.  Remember, this picnic is
free to all Lodge 25 members and is always a great way to get together with family and
friends.

The 58th National FOP Biennial Conference & Exhibition will be held from August 12 –
16, 2007 in Louisville, Kentucky.  We are proud to have eight delegates from our
Lodge who have volunteered their time to represent us at this event and we wish them
all well.

Again, my sincere thanks for all your participation and support to date.

                                                                              Fraternally,

                                                                              Robert N. Lucente
